A short while back I had decided that I wanted an iPad, but I wanted a cheap iPad, I simply could not afford to pay the full retail price. So if you are looking for a cheap iPad I'm here to tell you it is not all that easy to get your hands on one. This is what I did:
Searching the net:
IROBOT
I searched the internet for hours and I found many sites offering a small discount.
I checked out eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon on the look out for the best deal I could get. But none of them were offering the kind of price cut I was after.
I looked into sites where you bid for an item and there was a chance you could get it at an 80% discount, but there was no guarantee you would win the bid and you still had to pay. If I could not afford an iPad at full price, I certainly could not afford to throw money away.
Alternatives:
I looked into cheaper alternatives to the iPad, a different tablet, like the aPad and the iRobot, but after reading many reviews I found that they would not fulfil what I wanted from them. Although dependant on what you want from them they are worth checking out, they perform a number of similar functions to the iPad, just at a lower standard. They are a quarter of the price and you get what you pay for.
So if you are after a truly cheap iPad, without getting scammed, you are in for a hard search, with no real guarantee you will find one. I know, I tried.
For Free:
There are a number of websites out there that offer iPads for free as part of a marketing campaign. If you can find a legitimate one, these are definitely worth checking out.
